Delivery as a service (Beta feature)

Leeroys Delivery service enables you to offer Delivery in your pre-order flows.

In short, delivery is a product that is added to the customer's cart when choosing Delivery as a dining type. The order goes into the kitchen (KDS) and the email you’ve set up, with order and delivery information, and you handle the delivery anyway you want.

The set-up in Cloud

  1. You will find Delivery as a separate tab on Store-level in Cloud

  2. Set up your own Delivery product

    1. Name it what you prefer, e.g. ‘Delivery’ depending what it should say in your app at checkout

    2. Set VAT group

    3. Print group: Delivery (Create a separate one, or choose an existing you know will appear on the KDS). This allows the product to appear on the KDS and you’ll know this is a delivery order. The staff will also see the dining type “Delivery“ on the digital order ticket.

  3. E-mail your contact person at Leeroy and ask them to set the Delivery attribute to your new product, or do it yourself by the settings:

    1. Article type: Service

    2. Order attribute: Delivery

  4. Enable Delivery on chosen Store

    1. Add a delivery email, where orders and delivery information should arrive. The owner of the email will be responsible for keeping track of the delivery orders.

    2. Set delivery opening hours (when is delivery available as a dining type)

    3. Set the delivery time (how long can I expect to wait for my order when choosing delivery)

    4. Set delivery distance (how long from the restaurant do you deliver)

      1. This can also be seen in the restaurant listing on the respective Store in the app

    5. Save!

 

In pre-order channels:

  1. Pick ‘Delivery’ as dining type

  2. In checkout: 'Delivery' product will be automatically added to cart with price

  3. Add delivery address by Google

  4. Add delivery information, such as floor or entry code

  5. Place order

  • If something happens with the feature is the current fallback to toggle it off for the store through Leeroy Cloud.

  • Since it’s a Beta feature we’re having it live only at few selected stores. When further development will occur will be up to the current strategy. The state of the feature is as is stated in this document until further development is planned.

  • Restriction: Global discounts (for the full order) will affect the delivery price as well.
