MPOS Layout and discounts

This manual covers how to create and configure the button layout and creating the discount buttons for your MPOS devices, which your cashiers will use when they sell products.

The MPOS layout consists of a number of tabs on which you can organize your product buttons.

Each tab is given a name and a color to make it easy to recognize in the cash register. All products added to a tab automatically takes on the same color as the tab they are present on.

Each tab can be activated and deactivated, which means it will be visible or not visible in the cash registers. Each tab can also be assigned to be visible only for specific stores (restaurants) if the product range differs between stores.

We recommend that you try to keep the product selection as uniform as possible for your stores since this enables the possibility to use the same tabs and manage layout updates in one place.

However if you have the need to sell local products only available in one of your stores the recommendation is to create a new tab for this store where the local products are added.

Remember to name the tab so that it's clear for both cashiers and administrators which tab belongs to which store, for example by naming the tab "Local assortment - Sundsvall".

A product can have a "staff facing name" (see Products) which will be the text displayed on the button in the cash register and on the KDS.

However in the layout tool in Leeroy Cloud you will currently only see the actual name of the product,  i.e the layout tool do not offer an exact preview of what your cashiers will see.
